MENTORING
Mentoring is similar to what is called supervision in other therapies, except that it does not require a qualified supervisor. Ideally, it is done with someone with more EFT experience than your own at least while you are an EFT newbie. But it can be peer mentoring, where a group of EFTers get together to discuss cases and pool ideas with one another. It can be done face-to-face or via skype.
If you do have formal supervision that can count as mentoring, though it should be with someone who has at least some knowledge of EFT.
Most trainers offer mentoring opportunities to their trainees and most welcome anyone who wants to join, whoever they trained with. Going to someone other than your own original trainer, at least some of the time, can be a way to broaden your learning. Most of the EFT Masters offer mentoring to both individuals and groups.

I do a supervision half-day in my office in South East London from time to time. They are small groups in which you will have the chance to discuss problems you have had with cases and anything you feel you do not fully understand. It will be a good chance to off-load, get ideas from others, share your worries - and boast about your successes! Email me if you want me to let you know when I have the next date. |
